Paper Lit is a children’s illustration studio founded by Bruno de Souza Mendes in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

The studio was born from the desire to introduce new illustration talents to the world — artists who are waiting for the opportunity to create new worlds, characters and stories through visual storytelling.

Paper Lit works with an editorial and curatorial approach, connecting illustrators with meaningful projects for books, publishing and creative brands. Our focus is on narrative, artistic sensibility and thoughtful illustration, always placing the story at the center of every collaboration.

Based in Brazil and working internationally, we collaborate with artists whose work speaks to childhood with warmth, imagination and sophistication.
